We understand that families have many expenses, and the thought of orthodontic treatment may be quite daunting financially.

That is why here at Smileworx, we will always talk to you through the potential treatment scenarios and make sure you have a thorough understanding of the pros and cons of any approach, as well as the associated costs.

If you decide to proceed with orthodontic treatment, we’ll work with you to fit payments around your other financial commitments. For example, we may be able to stagger your treatment in phases, and we also offer interest-free orthodontic payment plans.

Comprehensive Quote

We’ll provide you with an all-inclusive quote in writing, which will cover everything from initial fitting of the braces and regular adjustment visits; to the removal of braces, retainers and post-treatment follow up for one to two years. This means there are no hidden surprises down the track.

Braces payment plans

At Smileworx, we offer interest free payment plans with payment schedules which can be tailored to you. We hope this can be a handy way to spread the cost of your orthodontic treatment.

DentiCare offers managed no interest payment plans for your Orthodontic needs.

Does health insurance cover braces?

If you have health insurance, you may be able to claim some of your treatment costs back from your health fund. However, many funds have exclusion periods and different levels of cover for orthodontics, so it’s important to check what you can claim before you start treatment.

Does Medicare cover braces?

Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover braces or orthodontic treatment. However, your health insurance fund might.

“My younger son came with us to an appointment once and Dr Todres saw in a tick that he was going to be a candidate for braces, because he was a mouth breather. He knew that your tongue has a lot to do with the size of the arch of your roof palette – if you breathe through your nose more then your tongue widens it out, but if you breathe through your mouth, you’re not widening it as much. Anyway, Dr Todres was spot on – a few years later we were back there with my younger son for braces and an expander. I learned quite a bit at Smileworx!”

“One of the receptionists is such a lovely person. Her manner and her positive bubbly nature made the whole thing – you’d actually look forward to the appointments. And all the other girls, they were lovely too, but she just shone. It really changed the experience for me. They create a very warm atmosphere. Often a medical area can be opposite to that – very quiet – and for kids that’s the last thing they want. For little kids, they have PlayStation and iPads on the wall, you can grab one of those while you’re waiting.”
